The only thing I can say is he dropped the bomb on me, babe. He was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At the age of 3 he learned to sing in church which paved the way as a precursor to his musical career. As the lead singer of gap band (Greenwood, Archer and Pine Street Band) Charlie Wilson sang four number one hits, “Burn Rubber”, (Why you wanna hurt me),” “Early in the Morning,” “Outstanding,” and also my favorite song “You dropped the bomb on me”.

On February 17, 2008 he released his fourth solo album (Uncle Charlie). My favorite song and hit single, “There Goes My Baby,” wooooo that’s all I can say. This beautiful song was written by Baby face and Calvin Richardson and produced by Gregg Pagani.

According to the Associated Press, Charlie Wilson has revealed that he will undergo treatment for his prostate cancer for the second time. He was diagnosed with it last September after a routine physical. A positive blood test and biopsy confirmed the diagnosis. In addition to promoting his forthcoming album, Mr. Wilson is out there spreading positive messages of regular routine check up.

So to my young brothers, please invest your time in a yearly check up.

Peace & Blessing

Love Skye
